Adoph Kemga is a Specialist in Geographical Information System (GIS), Remote sensing and mapping for sustainable management of territories. He presently works for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), based in Cameroon. He holds an M.Sc. in GIS, remote sensing and mapping for sustainable management of territories, and Degree in computer science from the University of Yaoundé I – Cameroon.
Since 2013 he has worked on mapping and managing cocoa farms within the shifting agricultural landscape mosaic system to accompany the REDD+ process; evaluate the impact of climate change on cocoa productivity in the cocoa growing zones of Cameroon. He was involved in satellites images processing to produce forest mapping, sensitive areas map and land use land cover dynamic maps with African Resource Management Advanced Technologies (ARMAT), and participatory maps of some villages of Rwanda, DRC and Cameroon with Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). His multidisciplinary approach to research allowed him to be involved in the writing of idea notes for the execution of REDD+ projects in the tropical forest zones of Cameroon and other statistics projects.
