Ulan Turdukulov started his career in 1996 as cartographer in St. Petersburg, Russia and then continued as a head of cartographic laboratory of Kyrgyz State University, Kyrgyz Republic. From 2007 till 2013 he was a lecturer in the Department of Geo-Information Processing at The Faculty ITC, University of Twente in the Netherlands. Prior to joining ISRIC in 2017 Ulan was a lecturer at Curtin University, Western Australia from 2013. His research interests are geo-visual analytics, analysis and visualization of spatiotemporal data and geo-web services. Ulan speaks Kyrgyz, Russian, English and Dutch.
